How Should We Respond to the Ravi Zacharias Scandal?

In the aftermath of the shocking and tragic news about Ravi Zacharias’s private life, one of our ministry school grads, herself a longtime missionary with her husband, wrote to me, asking, “Would you consider writing something in regards to the Ravi scandal? I know this is sending believers into a whirlwind of confusion.”

She continued, “I guess what people are saying is how could a man who sounds so spiritual, lead so many to Jesus, be so deeply involved in willful sinning? When things like this happen to someone with such influence, it sends people into a whirlwind of doubt.”

Frederick KC Price, Crenshaw Christian Center Founder, Dies at 89

Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, founder of Crenshaw Christian Center and renowned preacher, died Friday from COVID-19.

Frederick K. Price Jr. announced his father’s death in a Facebook post, honoring the beloved pastor and apostle.

Price and his wife, Betty, both tested positive for COVID-19 in January, and he battled the virus for weeks after being admitted to the hospital on Jan. 5.

During an update given to the congregation last Sunday, Feb. 7, Price Jr. encouraged the church to intercede on the apostle’s behalf, saying, “Satan is trying everything he can [to] end his life.”

Unexpected Holy Spirit Outpouring Floods Florida Church

The congregation of The Gathering Apostolic Center in Tarpon Springs, Florida, is receiving an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in ways they’ve never experienced—in floods they never expected.

Cindy Stewart, lead pastor of the thriving faith community, told Charisma News that for the past six months the congregation, meeting both in person and virtually through its web church, has been leaning into the things of the Spirit in great expectation.

Through the Lord’s prompting, Stewart and her leadership team started monthly revival healing services with the goal of teaching those in attendance to “move as He moves.”

Investigation Finds Ravi Zacharias Guilty of Sexual Misconduct; RZIM Board Apologizes

Renowned apologist and Bible teacher Ravi Zacharias was guilty of multiple instances of sexual misconduct and abuse, an independent report commissioned by Ravi Zacharias International Ministries has concluded. RZIM is now apologizing to victims of its founder, who died of cancer last May, and asking forgiveness as it seeks a way forward.

Released on Thursday by the Atlanta-based law firm of Miller & Martin, the investigation report said Zacharias lied in his 2017 statement that “I have never engaged in inappropriate behavior of any kind.” Through multiple interviews conducted with massage therapists and others who interacted with Zacharias over a period of years, the report reveals a pattern of gross sexual misconduct as well as inappropriate texts and emails and one accusation of rape. {eoa}
