Faith Leaders Remind Believers That God Is Still in Control After Election Results

With the call of Joe Biden’s election to the presidency of the United States Saturday morning, leaders in the faith community chimed in on Saturday to give believers hope and encouragement for the immediate future of the country.

This comes after more than three days of uncertainty following the general election on Tuesday. Several states continued to be contested over the past few days until the official call was made Saturday for Biden.

On Twitter, Franklin Graham called for believers to pray and quoted Psalm 57:5 (ESV), which says, “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let your glory be above all the earth.”

Graham’s father, Billy, would have been 102 years old Saturday. He died in February 2018.

“If he were alive today, Billy Graham would encourage Americans everywhere to pray for the future of our nation and the political direction that could come,” Franklin Graham said. “On his birthday today, I would urge all of us to pray for the process taking place, that it would be transparent & honest.”

In this time of disappointment for many conservatives, author, speaker and conservative radio host Eric Metaxas concisely reminded believers of a staunch biblical principle.

“We walk by faith, not by sight,” Metaxas tweeted.

Charisma News columnist Dr. Michael Brown tweeted, “If Joe Biden is, in fact, our next president I will pray for him to be the best president we’ve ever had, hoping that our many warnings about the real dangers of the leftist agenda will not come to pass.”

Prior to the election being called for Biden, evangelist Kenneth Copeland invited believers to join Kenneth Copeland Ministries in praying strategically for the country. Copeland asked believers to consider five strategic prayer points for the nation.

Copeland pointed to Proverb 6:17 and urged believers to “expose and hold accountable those who practices the seven things God hates and He says are detestable to him.”

Paula White-Cain, friend and spiritual adviser to President Trump, tweeted: “Believe that God has something better that you can’t fully see right now!”

National security expert and New York Times bestselling author Brigitte Gabriel tweeted, “President Trump owes the democrats nothing for how they treated him the last four years! HOLD THE LINE!”

Stay tuned to Charisma News for more reactions to Joe Biden being named as the winner of the 2020 presidential election. {eoa}
