Kanye West Rebukes Those Trying to ‘Take Jesus Out of America’

In a recent interview with BigBoyTV, famous rapper Kanye West rebuked liberal activists who try to remove Jesus from U.S. culture. He also said he hopes that his latest album, Jesus Is King, points people back to God.

“I’m praying that people can see that Jesus won the victory,” he says. “When I was making raps in service to the devil, … I was in debt. Now that I’m in service to Christ, He’s showing off. He’s showing off in my life. He’s showing off in my family.”

The new album features 11 gospel songs, all of which point back to God. One of his songs is an ode to Chick-fil-A that references spiritual warfare against Jezebel.

But West says he never could have cast such a wide net with Jesus Is King unless he had gone through his mental-health crisis and the stigma that came with that breakdown.

Choosing to vote for Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton caused West to face backlash, but he says that has made him even more relatable to middle America.

“People are connected to the idea of having their own land,” West said. “People are connected to the idea of service to Christ. This is the Bible Belt. This is America. This is where we are free to worship Jesus in the open. And that’s a privilege.”

West then defended his political decisions by rebuking the “white liberals” who told him who to vote for because he was black and Christian.

“So you mean to tell me I make every decision based off my color?” he said. “The most racist thing a person could tell me is that I’m supposed to choose something based on my race.”

The same people who are trying to control his voting habits, he said, are also trying to remove Jesus from the United States.

“Who told you that my career would be over? The same people that are telling you that you can’t have a right to say who you will vote for,” West said. “Those people will be soon to take Jesus out of school. Those people will be soon to remove Jesus, period, from America, which is the Bible Belt. Those people will be so mad. Come on man.”
