John and Amy Burton were living in “the darkest city in the nation” when Amy had a horrific nightmare about their unborn baby.

“It was extremely demonic,” John tells Charisma News in the new series “Grief in the Womb,” on the Charisma podcast network. “In in her dream, she saw somebody stabbing the baby, stabbing her stomach with a knife.”

The couple had recently planted a church in Manitou Springs, Colorado, a city full of people who practiced the occult and witchcraft.

The Burtons, strong Spirit-filled Christians, prophetically warred against the dream.

But on Christmas Eve 2003, Amy miscarried their daughter, Elizabeth Hope. That was just the beginning.

“Over the course of six years, from 2003-2009, I was pregnant eight times,” Amy says. “I lost seven of those babies through either stillbirth or miscarriage.”

As the spiritual warfare mounted, so did the Burtons’ faith. Listen to the podcast to hear their inspiring story of persevering through trial.
