As fans prepare for tonight’s Season Four premiere of HGTV’s Fixer Upper, I Am Second is featuring a new short film of Chip and Joanna Gaines, stars of the show, owners of the Magnolia Market and authors of the new book, The Magnolia Story, at I AmSecond.com.

The film, part of I Am Second’s White Chair Film Series, gives rare insight into the Gaines’ charismatic chemistry that has attracted viewers nationwide and catapulted Fixer Upper into HGTV’s No. 1 slot.

In the film, Chip and Joanna describe how they have embraced the phrase “opposites attract” to use their respective unique traits to strengthen their relationship.

“If I didn’t have Chip Gaines in my life, I’d still be dreaming in my head but not acting it out,” Joanna said.

HGTV’s Fixer Upper premiered on May 23, 2013. Since then, the show has swelled in popularity with more than 25 million viewers tuning in for the Season Three premiere.

Chip’s quirky antics are one of the elements of the show that have attracted viewers. In the I Am Second film, he admits he has been a “character” his entire life, but his wife’s structured personality has helped him find freedom to be himself.

“I feel like she knows me in a way that has caused me to stop acting,” Chip said. “When I caught her, I finally felt content for the first time in my life. I felt like I could be exactly who I was.”

In a culture where differences often break apart marriages, the Gaines’ story as told through I Am Second proves differences aren’t always bad. To see the full film, visit http://www.iamsecond.com
