Justin Bieber's recent weeks consisted of a basketball brawldisappointing performancesfalling onstage and ... surrendering it all to God?

The pop sensation posted a loose translation of Proverbs 19:21 on Instagram recently: "Even when your (sic) planning the worst for yourself God is planning his best for you."

Bieber's faith populates his social media feed. Recently he posted prayer requests for Orlando and a T.D. Jakes sermon.

Even mainstream media outlets like Vanity Fair have taken to mocking Bieber's beliefs, especially after he took a spill onstage.

"What actually happened is that Justin Bieber walked into a hole. There was ground beneath his feet and then, quite suddenly, there wasn't, and there Justin went, plummeting into the dark. Jesus held his spirits up, but gravity? Oh gravity did a number on Justin Bieber that day," VF's Richard Lawson writes.

Bieber's fans, however, continually post encouragements for the singer.

"If you contemplate what God is doing, you will be encouraged and happy. When God erase (sic) something from your life, it is because he is about to write better. Oh God, I thank you from my heart for your presence at my side and your infinite love," one wrote.

Another: "Thank you God for showing up when we need you the most ! In God we trust. Justin is completely right. God loves you. I am so proud of you Justin. You deserve the best Justin. God is with us to protect us."

And another: "It's true god (sic) has bigger, better plans for us! He's our provider and he will give you joy! ~I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me~ Philippians 4:13."
