Today, Justin Bieber appears to walk humbly, giving glory to God where he can, leading masses in prayer as he tries to turn his life around.
The Bieber of today is vastly different than the man his manager thought he would be even two years ago. For starters, Bieber is still alive.
"As I started to see it going in the wrong direction, I started to prepare," talent manager Scooter Braun tells The New York Times of Bieber circa 2013. "I honestly at that time felt, if he toured, he could die."
"The outsiders don't really know what was happening," Braun tells NYT. "It was far worse than people realize. And when he is ready, he will tell what he was going through. But it's a hard thing to watch someone you care (about) and genuinely love go through that. I'm really, really happy that's over."
It wasn't until Bieber made his own "conscious decision" to turn his life around that his career took off again, Braun says.
