Newsboys Restart debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian albums chart, adding another No. 1 record to the four-time Grammy-nominated band long list of career achievements. Since the release of Restart earlier this month, Newsboys have celebrated nods from numerous music critics, consistent gains at Christian radio and a strong stay at No. 1 on the iTunes Christian and gospel albums chart.

The multiplatinum-selling band unveiled the lyric video to its pop anthem title track in a unique Facebook campaign. The video features all four members of the band animated in a retro, 8-bit video game style. Fans can watch the new lyric video and then create an 8-bit version of themselves to share with friends.

Lead single “Live With Abandon” is capturing a significant audience on Christian radio. The single jumped to the top 5 on the Christian AC Indicator chart and is reaching an audience of nearly 6 million. The single also maintains a No. 11 spot on the National Christian Audience chart and moved up to No. 16 on Christian AC Monitored.

Starting Sept. 20, the band will bring its live experience to more than 20 cities across the U.S. on the Restart tour. Opening acts for the tour include For King & Country, Moriah Peters and Rapture Ruckus.

The Newsboys are also set to headline the top-ranked Winter Jam 2013 tour this fall. Kicking off in Los Angeles on Nov. 8, Newsboys will hit 11 western cities in a lineup that also features Tenth Avenue North, Thousand Foot Krutch, Plumb and Building 429, among others.
