This Pivotal Event Unites 11 Pentecostal Denominations in Prayer

The Church of God and Church of God of Prophecy, will be two of many denominations coming together to participate in Encounter 2015, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 5-6, 2015.

Sam Clements, general overseer of the Church of God of Prophecy is the latest to release a promotional video encouraging pastors and leaders in his movement to attend the unique prayer gathering which will feature the leaders of 11 Pentecostal denominations. Bishop Clements was recently elected to serve as the international leader for the sister organization to the Church of God.

Mark Williams, general overseer of the Church of God will be participating in the meeting along with Doug Beacham, presiding Bishop of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church; Alton Garrison, the Assistant Superintendent of the Assemblies of God; Glenn Burris, Foursquare; Jeff Farmer, Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of NA; Preston Heath, Pentecostal Freewill Baptist; Steve Holder, Full Gospel Fellowship; Charles Scott, Pentecostal Church of God; Ronald Wilson, Congregational Holiness Church; and BG Turner General Overseer International Pentecostal Church of Christ.

Bishop Clements leads the Church of God of Prophecy, a worldwide movement with over 1 1/2 million members and 10,000 congregations scattered throughout 125 nations of the world. The Church of God and the Church of God of Prophecy share a common root and history. Both movements reach back to the Camp Creek revival of 1896, and beyond that, to "Spirit-filled Christianity exhibited in the book of Acts."
