Congressmen Bow Their Heads in Prayer for Rep. Steve Scalise

When Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., was attacked during baseball practice, his Congressional colleagues didn’t hesitate to bring him to the Father.

Rep. Ruben J. Kihun, R-Nev., posted a photo after the shooting showing Democrats and Republicans huddled together in prayer.

Other government officials tweeted out their prayers, including President Donald Trump.

“Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, a true friend and patriot, was badly injured but will fully recover. Our thoughts and prayers are with him,” the commander in chief tweeted.

“Karen & I are praying for , the Capitol Police, & all hurt for a speedy recovery. Our hearts are with them & their loved ones,” Vice President Mike Pence tweeted.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Rep , Congressional staff, Capitol Police, & all those affected by today’s horrific shooting,” Democratic Governors tweeted.

Scalise is reportedly in stable condition. He is one of five shot during a Congressional baseball practice on Capitol Hill. {eoa}
