A woman and her boyfriend were convicted of child abuse for torturing her granddaughter by dressing up as a witch and a demon.

Geneva Robinson would dress up as a witch named "Nelda," while boyfriend John Granger would dress as a demon named "Coogro."

When dressed as "Nelda," Robinson would allegedly "take a pink dog leash and hang the victim in the middle of the garage underneath her arms," the victim said in court. The grandmother allegedly told the girl "the creatures in the attic were going to come get her."

The primary victim is a 7-year-old girl. Other children also witnessed the abuse

Other reports say Robinson would scratch the child on her neck, hit her in the face and strike her with a rolling pin.

The couple was sentenced last week after the judge saw a now-viral video of Robinson in character.

The Oklahoman reports:

Robinson is dressed in a long, black cloak. She appears to be wearing a mask and her hands are painted green.
Granger also is seen in the video. He can be heard saying, "Grandma's sick because of you. You go with the witch."
Robinson towered over the victim. The child pleaded with the "witch," saying she'll be good to her grandmother. "I promise, witch. I promise," the girl said.
In a loud, high-pitched voice, Robinson replied, "You lie, you lie, you lie, little girl."
The girl again pleaded with the witch, saying, "I promise, witch. I won't do mean to Grandma. I won't hit Grandma. I won't be mean."
The grandmother later yelled, "Give me a fork and a knife." Prosecutors said the girl was told witches eat bad boys and girls.
Later in the video, the girl tries to grab Granger's shirt to escape the "witch." Granger slipped out of his shirt when the girl didn't let go.

"They're innocent children, and they were just tortured," prosecutor Merydith Easter said. "It's heartbreaking to watch them recount what's happened to them."

Robinson faces three consecutive life sentences for felony child abuse. Granger was sentenced to serve life in prison with the first 30 years behind bars.

The children moved in with Robinson because they had "no place else to go," reports say.

When police investigated the home in 2014, they found evidence to back the victim's abuse claims.

"There were whips and chains and a witch's hat found there. Just a completely horrible situation for a child to be in," MSgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department said.
