In a Charisma News exclusive, Pastor Steve Riggle—member of the famous Houston Five—announced that tomorrow the Houston Five would release a video supporting Texas' SB 6 legislation. SB 6, also known as the Texas "bathroom bill," requires all adults to use bathrooms matching their "biological sex" in public buildings.

The bill passed the Texas Senate in a 21-10 vote but has faced opposition in the Republican-led state House of Representatives. House Speaker Joe Straus has publicly said he opposes the bill.

The video, which Riggle says will call out and challenge representatives, will release tomorrow afternoon on uspastorcouncil.org.

The Houston Five first came to prominence in 2014, when Houston's then-Mayor Annise Parker initiated subpoenas of the sermons of five pastors in the Houston area. The pastors in question were not members of an ongoing lawsuit against the city but were targeted for their beliefs regardless. Public support for the pastors ultimately forced the city to relent.

The Houston Five includes Riggle, executive pastor of Grace Church; Hernan Castaño, founding pastor of Iglesias Rios De Aceite; Khanh Huynh, founding pastor of Vietnamese Baptist Church; David Welch, executive director of the Texas Pastor Council; and Magda Hermida, founder of Magda Hermida Ministries.
