‘The Voice’ Contestant Booted After Leading Audience In Powerful Worship

With his own hands raised, Christian Cuevas poured out his heart to God on The Voice stage earlier this week, but it wasn’t enough to keep him in the competition.

Cuevas, a worship leader from Orlando, Florida, sang “To Worship You I Live” by Israel and New Breed.

Away away from the noise
alone with you
away away to hear your voice
and meet with you
nothing else matters my one desire is

To worship you I live
to worship you I live I live to worship you
To worship you I live
to worship you I live I live to worship you

Despite his powerful performance, the audience failed to save Cuevas, and he went home the night after his worship set.

“There has never been a moment that he (Cuevas) hasn’t translated the truth that’s inside of him in music and song. Christian, your voice is incredible. You are incredible. You deserve to be here,” coach Alicia Keys said

Watch the video and see the Spirit move through the audience for yourself.
