A Presbyterian Church USA pastor was found dead in his car with a self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday. Larry DeLong was 60.

"We as a family of faith will, by God's grace, walk through this together. Please join us in worship tomorrow. May you know God's peace that passes all understanding," Valley Presbyterian Church posted to Facebook after the incident.

Green Valley News reports DeLong leaves behind a wife and two teenagers. The pastor had just returned from a family vacation.

In DeLong's church bio, the pastor wrote that he was called to ministry in college. He attended Pittsburgh Theological Seminary before joining the Navy.

"We are sad, this church family is very (sad)," Valley Presbyterian's Pastor of Care Paul Phillips told GVN. "We're in shock."

He leaves behind his mother Leona, 100, two daughters, Molly and Anna, a brother Jim, and a sister Connie.

Please lift the DeLong family up in prayer as they deal with this tragedy.
