Two transgender candidates—who both call themselves Misty—won their local primaries ahead of state elections this year.

Misty K. Snow nabbed the Democratic nomination for the Utah State Senate, while Misty Plowright took the Democratic nomination for 5th Congressional District in Colorado.

Snow edged out a conservative Mormon for the nod. Plowright's campaign faces the most conservative district in the state.

Several liberal organizations tweeted their support for the candidates:

"@Misty4Congress @MistyKSnow Time to show America that our ideas aren't just the future, they're the now #FeelTheBern," @people4Bernie tweeted.

".@emilyslist please support .@Misty4Congress &; .@MistyKSnow... #EmilysList #GirlPower #WomenInPolitics #FeelTheBern #ImWithHer #LGBTQIA" liberal commentator Trevin Shu tweeted.

While the candidates gain momentum ahead of their fall elections, Isaiah 5:20 and Matthew 24:24 appear to be coming to fruition.
