The season of giving is in full effect in Granbury, Texas. One person took the time to make a difference at a local Wal-Mart.

A secret Santa paid for all the gifts that were on layaway, offering an amazing break for many parents who were working to pay off Christmas for their kids.

"We have our very own mystery here in Granbury," Melinda Ray, Granbury resident, said.

"I asked if it was just me specifically, if someone had come in. And they said no," Brittany Browning, Granbury resident, said.

"I'm just in awe of this person. So amazing that someone is willing to do that and able to do that," she continued.

Wal-Mart said the anonymous donor paid at least $2,000 just on accounts holding toys.

For a community still cleaning up after a deadly tornado last May, there's no better time for a secret Santa to help local families.

It's an act of generosity that will go a long way to rebuild this Texas town.
