Julian Assange: Next Clinton Bombshell ‘Likely’ to Come Next Week

During an appearance Tuesday night on FOX News Channel’s Hannity, WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange told host Sean Hannity he has some new bombshell documents that will likely be unveiled beginning next week.

The documents, which pertain to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign, have been described as “significant” and that it will come in a “significant” quantity. Assange has been teasing an “interesting” release ahead of the Nov. 8 general election in media interviews for weeks.

“The first batch is reasonably soon, we’re quite confident about it now,” he said. “We might put out some teasers as I don’t want to promise anything because we want to see how the formatting goes, but we might put out some teasers as early as next week or the week after.”

WikiLeaks’ release of emails and voicemails taken from the Democratic National Committee and released just ahead of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in July had a devastating effect on the party and Clinton’s campaign’s efforts to reunify the party after a contentious nomination battle with U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). However, the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s private email server has had a more lasting impact on the former secretary of state’s presidential bid.

Assange had something to say about the FBI investigation, as well, saying he agreed that the timing of the bureau’s release was suspect. But, he also questioned Clinton’s assertion that she didn’t know what “(c)” meant in correspondence she routinely received from other State Department staff.

“Clinton says that she can’t remember what seeing ‘C’ in brackets stands for,” he said. “Everyone in positions of government and WikiLeaks knows it stands for classified confidential, and in fact we have already released thousands of cables by Hillary Clinton. See? That’s her signature—Clinton—with the ‘C’ in brackets right there.

“There are thousands of examples where she herself has used the ‘C’ in records and signed off on them more than 22,000 times and she has received cables from others with this ‘C’ in brackets, so it’s absolutely incredible for Clinton to lie. She is lying about not knowing what that is but it’s a bit disturbing that (FBI Director) James Comey goes along with that game.”
