Through Infrastructure, Trump Unveils $1.5 Trillion Plan to ‘Make America Great Again’

All along the campaign trail, presidential candidate Donald Trump touted making America great again by building it back up—and putting Americans back to work in the process.

Now President Trump has made good on yet another campaign promise by unveiling a $1.5 trillion infrastructure plan that will, among other things, make investments in transportation, broadband, water, waste, power, flood management and ports, according to Fox News.

Stephen E. Strang, author of the best-selling book God and Donald Trump, says these are the types of tangible efforts, followed by real results, the American people were waiting for in a political leader.

“For many voters, the promise of a new focus on jobs and infrastructure was the No. 1 reason for supporting Donald Trump,” Strang writes in God and Donald Trump. “With his record of success in the business world, they trusted his ability to revise the tax code, reduce burdens on employers, strengthen the business climate and put Americans back to work.”

Trump says the $1.5 trillion will help fix America’s infrastructure while streamlining the often-cumbersome permitting process, as part of a $4 trillion-plus budget plan unveiled Monday, Fox News reported. Just before the budget release, Trump tweeted: “This will be a big week for Infrastructure. After so stupidly spending $7 trillion in the Middle East, it is now time to start investing in OUR Country!”
