Did God Tell Creflo Dollar to Endorse Donald Trump?

God did not tell megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar to endorse Donald Trump, despite rampant rumors that claim otherwise.

“Any reports stating that I have endorsed Donald Trump for president are false. At World Changers Church International, (neither) I nor the ministry endorse any political party or candidate; nor do we advise our members who to vote for. Any claims or statements claiming otherwise are false. This rumor originated on a satirical website and is 100% untrue,” Dollar posted to his Facebook page.

The story originated on the Business Standard News, which “is a satirical site designed to parody the 24-hour news cycle. The stories are outlandish, but reality is so strange nowadays they could be true.”

Dollar’s presidential endorsement is not the first time internet readers have been duped by satire.

Recently, many Christians fell prey to Christian satire site, The Babylon Bee, when they reported Steven Furtick’s Elevation Church created a water slide baptismal.
