In honor of Israel’s upcoming 66th anniversary of independence and as a way to bless Israel, Heart to Heart has organized a new grass-roots initiative called Kids Kare for Israel/Kids’ Hearts for Israel.

With a planned launch at the National Religious Broadcasters convention in February 2014, Kids Kare for Israel/Kids’ Hearts for Israel will engage children of all ages to do something tangible to express their love for Israel by supporting Heart to Heart’s virtual blood donation program.

Overall, the idea is to have a wide number of children of all ages use the Heart to Heart Internet platform to set up their own pages and appeal to friends, relatives and neighbors to join the effort and help support and preserve Israel’s national blood services so Israel always has a safe and plentiful blood supply. As a grass-roots program, any and all creative ideas are encouraged as efforts to support Heart to Heart.

Several opportunities are available to win a trip to Israel, where participants will fellowship with Israelis, visit holy sites and tour the Israel national blood center.

Drawings to win the prized trips will be held in the following categories: 1) overall highest amount of money raised and 2) at least the equivalent of 66 units of blood raised.

Ministries that actively promote the program will be entered to win scholarships for trips to Israel in the following categories:

  1. Largest total number of participants, total amount raised, and highest amount per capita
  2. Videos, produced by children to promote their participation and support for Heart to Heart, judged by a professional team of judges; the winner in each age group will receive a trip to Israel and a scholarship for their pastor
  3. Essays, written by children to promote their participation and support for Heart to Heart, judged by a professional team of judges; the winner in each age group will receive a trip to Israel and a scholarship for their pastor

The program will run through Israel Independence Day, May 5-6.
