All across America this past weekend, hundreds of thousands of concerned Christians and others gathered at Planned Parenthood clinics to protest the barbaric slaughter of human lives through abortion. For over 40 years, I have participated in various such initiatives for a purpose: to raise awareness to the killing of vulnerable, innocent and precious unborn babies
Over the past six weeks, a series of videos have gone forth to expose the pernicious practices of Planned Parenthood, financed by a half-billion of our tax dollars and enthusiastically supported by President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately, only half of the American populace has seen the videos that prove this sinister organization not only terminates human life but also harvests baby parts and, according to the recent video, engages in infanticide.
On one of the videos, we hear the voice of someone almost gleefully saying they need to be careful so as not to “crush” a skull and lose some of the best parts of the baby later sold. The most recent video captured the voice of an individual instructing someone to slice a baby’s face to get at the valuable brain!
I can’t help but think of the verses in Psalm 94: “They break in pieces Your people, O Lord, and afflict Your inheritance. They kill the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless. Yet they say, ‘The Lord does not see, neither does the God of Jacob regard it'” (v. 5-7).
Judging by the massive turnout all across America this past Saturday, scores of concerned people are going to make sure that not just the Lord but increasing numbers will come to see and heed what’s going on in these abortion mills.
What Happened in Nashville?
Over 200 people gathered on the sidewalk surrounding the Planned Parenthood clinic. No trespassing laws were violated. In a winsome way, people shared with onlookers, carried placards, (see some of the attached photos from the event), sang hymns and engaged in intercessory prayer.
A newsman approached me from the local television station. It afforded me a wonderful opportunity to share in a charitable way about Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, who a eugenist who believed in eradicating undesirable people in the human race. Hitler was influenced by her example.
“I am passionate about upholding the sanctity of human life from the womb to the tomb,” I said on the news that reached hundreds of thousands later that day. When he finished the interview, he thanked me and said it was “just what I needed!”
This “divine appointment” was also a reason I attended the event. I had faith God would place me in a position to communicate charitably and clearly the truth to reach masses of people. As “salt” and “light” Christians, we must seize every opportunity to communicate the truth and dispel lies, myths and the deception in our land.
Ephesians 5:11 directs us to “expose the deeds of darkness.”
Proverbs 24:11–12 tells us to “hold back those staggering towards slaughter.”
In the parable of the good Samaritan, Jesus Christ illustrated the difference between a religious people who probably opposed robbery in their hearts, but really didn’t do anything for the victim that they could’ve helped. He highlighted the good Samaritan who actually saved the victim’s life.
We must do likewise. As the shaking is beginning prophesied in Hebrews 12:25-27, I’m calling upon every God-fearing man and woman to do their part in engaging people on the issue of the sanctity of life and praying for divine intervention in this issue that has been a horrendous stain on America’s character for over four decades.
Hitler exterminated 6 million people and we are aghast. If there is not a stoppage of murder through abortion and Planned Parenthood, we will see another 3 million babies slaughtered and pass his level of barbarism by 10 times!
Enough is enough!
Throughout the Old Testament, God reserved the harshest language of judgment for the specific sin of child-killing. Jeremiah 32:35–36 reveals God calling child-killing an abomination and declaring that because of it, Israel would experience severe judgment.
With the videos gaining attention nationwide and the national protest doing likewise, let’s seize the moment to both pray and do our part to see an end to Planned Parenthood funding and a reversal of the abortion law in this land.
The Supreme Court once declared black people “property” and not persons. It was reversed.
Let’s unite, pray, act and believe the same miracle can take place regarding the infamous Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion on demand in America.
