Believers know Jesus has the power to instantaneously heal us of all physical, emotional and mental ailments and pain. But there are times when the deliverance and breakthrough come through a process of intimately walking with the Lord and clinging to Him moment by moment. Michael Lombardo’s testimony is full of both types of manifestation from the hand of God.
Drug addiction fell off Michael miraculously and instantly with just one touch from the Lord’s glory. But removing the negative mental effects of drug abuse took a process of walking it out with the Lord. Ecstasy was one of Michael’s favorite drugs in his teens, and after abusing this substance for years, he developed a minor stutter, his thought processes became cloudy and his creative abilities were stunted.
The devil would whisper depressing lies into his mind, such as “You’ll never fulfill God’s call to preach the gospel and write His words because of your brokenness” and “You are dumb and unable to be used as an instrument of the Lord.”
Instead of succumbing to these lies, Michael dug into the Word of God and found promise Scriptures to stand on and declare in the midst of hopelessness. Then one afternoon, as he spent time in the Lord’s presence and His Word, something supernatural took place that radically transformed his heart and mind.
