Pastor Shawn Gabie reminds us that Paul encouraged us to go after the gifts of the Spirit, "words of knowledge" being one of them. He defines this gift as being entirely supernatural, inspired by God, who gives the person with the gift the ability to know someone else's past and present situations.

Gabie says on the Supernatural Leadership podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network that he has personal experience with this gift. In fact, he says God gave him a vision in a coffee shop of a girl with pale skin, blonde hair, wearing a black shirt and sitting at a round table. He says the first letter of her name was J, and God told him she moved from a different state, was in her late teens and that when she was 5 and 6 years old, she was abused by her father.

"I'm walking around looking for maybe where this girl could be, and I stop in front of this table, a round table like in my vision. There were two girls; one of them was blonde, pale, looking like my vision, wearing a black shirt. I just felt from God, this was the one.

" ... I went up to her and said, 'Hey, I don't know what you believe, but I believe God is real. And he's changed my life. I'm from Canada. And you've never met me before. But I just believe God showed me a vision before I came here. I'm going to read it out of my journal.' ... So I started reading it ... She starts to cry. And her friend looks up at me and says, 'How do you know this? Are you a psychic?'

"And obviously, I said 'No, but I know the greatest the greatest medium ever. His name is Jesus. He is the bridge between heaven and earth.' ... Her name was Jennifer. The first letter of her first name was J. She moved from Buffalo to come here; she was 18; everything written down in the journal was 100% accurate. She began to cry. I said to her, 'You just witnessed by a demonstration that Jesus is the real deal.' And she opened up her heart right there to Jesus."

Gabie says this life of supernatural leadership is not a convenient one, and you'll have to forget about your reputation and pride quickly—it's all about learning to hear God's voice and work with His perfect timing.
