According to a new article in CBN News, loneliness can be more than a sad state of affairs—it can be dangerous, too.
Over the past several years, CBN reports, “there has been a surge in people who experience loneliness. As it continues to grow, another epidemic continues to be on the rise—pornography. Research has shown that loneliness is one of the main factors in porn addiction.”
This dark and lonely place is exactly where the evil and demonic spirit of the biblical Queen Jezebel wants people to be, says author and national radio host Dr. Michael Brown.
In his hit book released earlier this year, Jezebel’s War with America: The Plot to Destroy Our Country and What We Can Do to Turn the Tide, Brown writes about “the most wicked woman in the Word of God”—Jezebel, who was a sexual seductress—and how her demonic spirit is not only alive today but waging a war against America and the American church, especially by way of sexual immorality.
“There is nothing new about sexual immorality,” Brown writes. “It has been here throughout human history, which is why the Bible frequently addresses sexual sin. One of the Ten Commandments states, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ Jesus warned that sexual immorality could damn us to hell. Paul placed sexual sin at the beginning of his lists of moral prohibitions. And the last chapter of the book of Revelation tells us that the sexually immoral will not enter God’s eternal city.
“Sexual seduction is everywhere,” he continues. “It’s all there, fully accessible, and only one click—or tap—away. No generation in history has ever had to deal with sexual temptation at this level. It is nothing less than the sexual seduction of America—and the nations. And the evil spirit of Jezebel would like nothing more than to see Americans lonely and isolated as they are tempted to turn to pornography as an escape.”
The CBN report also found that rates of loneliness among adults have doubled from 20% to 40% since the 1980s. And, just as concerning, the average American does not have a single close friend to confide in during a crisis. Additionally, nearly half of Americans report sometimes or always feeling alone, more than one-quarter say they rarely or never feel there are people who really understand them, and 43% report their relationships are not meaningful and that they are isolated from others.
Despite both biblical and cultural warnings, sexuality immorality, and namely, the extremely high incidence of pornography, has permeated the American culture. It’s Jezebel’s spirit at work, Brown says.
“You don’t have to subscribe to a pornographic magazine,” Brown says. “You don’t have to go to a seedy part of your city to find a porn theater. All you need is a computer. Or tablet. Or cell phone. And within seconds, you have access to more sexual material than all previous generations combined. And this is not just something teenagers and adults are confronted with.”
In Jezebel’s War with America, Brown also explains how the forces of radical feminism come together with the extreme pro-abortion movement, witchcraft and sorcery, among other spiritual and cultural forces, in an attempt destroy America.
