While Justin Bieber Bashes Church, Oprah Says It Shaped Her Core

From "the little white church by the red dirt road" to Rev. Jeremiah Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ to developing a TV series around a megachurch, Oprah Winfrey says the church shaped her core.

The superstar revealed how the Christian community developed her as a person and a broadcaster in a new trailer for Belief.

Meanwhile, other celebrities have a different perspective, such as Justin Bieber comparing going to church like going to Taco Bell.

"You don't need to go to church to be a Christian," he tells Rolling Stone"If you go to Taco Bell, that doesn't make you a taco."

But for Winfrey, church attendance holds significance: "Church was our entertainment," Winfrey says. "Church was our comfort, and church was our sanctuary."

How did she go from a tiny church in Mississippi to one of the most well-known megastars and producers of a generation? Watch the video to see.
