Extreme Rescuer launched Friday at 8 a.m. EST on INSP (The Inspirational Networks, Inc.). This docu-reality series captures the rescue of children in remote regions around the world.

The pilot episode follows Damon Davis and a team of volunteers as they encounter obstacles to rescue children who are near death in the hidden hills of Guatemala.

"We are excited to see the show take flight," said Davis. "This is a major milestone for our entire team and the children we were able to save."

Davis assembled a team for the project after a life-changing mission trip. Extreme Rescuers initiated a dual effort to provide a force on the ground in Guatemala and develop a team at home to drive it.

"Some people call me a hero. I'm not a hero; these children are the heroes. The children who are dying and starving in these villages, they're sad and they're sick. Absent our help, they will not see the light of another day," says Davis.

The team says there are many organizations doing great work around the globe. However, for many reasons these groups aren't able to get to extreme locations and conditions. Their goal is to assemble more teams like the one in Guatemala to join these organizations with the same vision.

Extreme Rescuer focuses on a three-part mission: Save a Life. Sustain a Life. Transform a Life. Viewers will have the opportunity to call in, text or visit extremerescuer.com to donate or learn more about becoming a rescuer.
